Where we quote callthrough rates, we assume that you are calling from a BT residential line in the UK. BT apply a call set-up fee of 13.87 pence for each call made. Other network operators' charges may vary. Calls are charged from the time you are connected to the callthrough access number. The charge is incurred even if the destination number is engaged or the call is not answered. Therefore we advise you to replace the handset after a short period if your calls are engaged or unanswered. Rates shown on these pages are for calls to standard landlines in the destination country unless explicitly stated otherwise.

VoIP is an extremely cheap way to make international phone calls via the internet. As an added bonus, some VoIP providers allow you to make free calls via the internet to other users of the same VoIP provider, no matter where you are in the world. (Check the VoIP provider's web pages for details).
