The rates shown on these pages are for calls from the UK to ordinary landlines, or to mobile phones if this is specified, at off-peak times i.e. Monday-Friday, before 6AM or after 6PM

In searching for the cheapest off-peak rate phone tariffs we have assumed that you are phoning from an ordinary landline in the UK and using one of the companies in our database. In some cases the cheapest way to phone a mobile phone may actually be from another mobile phone on the same network.

For UK national calls there are also several companies which allow a large number of minutes of peak rate calls for a fixed monthly fee.
